Rare mizLORInj Posted May 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2023 Haven't tendered on Celebrity since 2020 and no recollection of how it works. Just show up? advance numbered tickets, ? does Captain's Club status play a role?
Rare prmssk Posted May 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2023 You need a numbered ticket to get on a tender for the first hour or two until demand dies down. Elite and above get priority. On our sailing, those in Elite and above went to Quisine when they wanted to get off. Retreat guests went to Michael's Club when they wanted to get off. They seemed to use one tendering platform for the general passengers and the other for priority guests (suites, loyalty status) and sometimes shore excursions although that changed from time to time. If you don't have priority, there will be a place to go and pick up numbered tickets (I think it was the martini bar on our sailing) and then you just wait in a lounge until your number is called. Once demand dies down, they will make an announcement and then you can just show up on deck 2 at whatever tendering platform is open (they will tell you whether they are using the mid-ship or the forward platform).
Northern Aurora Posted May 25, 2023 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2023 The Eclipse is large enough in terms of passenger capacity that if you don't have tender priority due to Captain's Club loyalty level or are not in a Suite then folks will want to get tender ticket as soon as possible. While we have tender priority due to CC club status there were some long lines on the Eclipse when we were on from March 10 to April 19. And there are some tender ports which are easier for the crew than others, such as those with shorter distances to shore.

There were long lines also in December on Eclipse during a Pacific Islands cruise.

Just show up? advance numbered tickets, ? does Captain's Club status play a role? Depends on the CC concierge and the number of Elite, Elite Plus and Zenith onboard. On our March Apex cruise we had CC priority tendering. If the CC concierge is doing priority tendering for your cruise you'll receive a notice in your stateroom as far as times and the meeting place.
newbie202020 Posted May 26, 2023 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2023 Rookie question - does concierge stateroom allow me priority disembarking at each port? I thought that was one of the perks of booking concierge room. Going on Eclipse. Thanks

And that is even subject to change based on the CC concierge for that specific cruise for priority tendering. Priority disembarkation at the end of the cruise is a concierge class perk.
