Yes, we are those dang smokers.  Any pictures of the small smoking area on the open deck (I think it's 15 or 16). Is it covered if there is rain? How is the smoking area in the casino?  I understand that you need to be an active player to smoke in it, We generally only play craps and table etiquette is not to smoke at the craps table.  Is there a craps table in the smoking section, I just cannot see smoking while playing. Or are we required to do slots? Thanks in advance for not smoke shaming me and my bad habit, I know, I know. Appreciate any info.

The smoking area outside Richards Rooftop has tables with umbrellas, but not really a roof or anything. In the casino, there's a little room with a few machines but not any kind of table games...

The main casino is nonsmoking.  The smoking room is mostly chairs and a few slots/video poker machines, but you don’t need to be playing to smoke.

the smoking area on 16 has shades but not really a roof

The smoking room in the casino is so well designed, most non-smokers don't even know it exists.

When we popped in to take a peek last October, there were a small number of slots and video poker.

I didn't see anything that said you need to be actively playing while smoking, but I could be wrong.

We commented that it was the only ship we'd been on that had a casino that wasn't repulsive due to the smoke.  Whatever they've done with the ventilation in that smoking room works!  I'm not a smoker, but tried to do a 30 minute "deck walk" each morning.  I usually went on deck 16 so my lack of speed didn't hinder those on the track. The smoking area never seemed full; there were occasionally people at a few of the tables, but always lots empty.  It seemed to be well looked after with staff regularly emptying ash trays, etc. It is basically tables with umbrellas from what I saw.

As an ex-smoker, I was curious to check it out. You couldn't smell a thing outside of the room. The secret is they use two doors separated by a short hallway.

Celebrity Cruises has non-smoking casinos as well. Another reason we love that cruise line so much. 🙂

As others have noted the main smoking area is outside Richard's Rooftop and in the smoking room at the Casino. VV probably has the smallest smoking areas of any cruise ship we've sailed. On the flip side, MSC is the most smoker friendly line we've ever sailed. They even sell cigars in the Yacht Club. 🙂
