We just disembarked the europa, used the thermal area 3 times in our week.

Two days were port days and it was quiet and last visit was on sea day and it was much busier.

Plenty in there to do and very clean.

Steam room, pool area with vertical water coming down which massages your back, two saunas both with windows overlooking the ocean, ice bucket with chain to pull to release old water over you, Ice room (real snow inside to run over your body), showers with jets, hot and cold foot pools (6) and a mediterrean room (bit like steam room but less steam) and 2 rooms with 4 heated beds in.

Well worth a visit, hope this helps.

If you visit the spa when you board they will show you found the areas before you commit too.

Thanks for the info. I was going to purchase the pass for the length of the cruise. Not sure how much it would be on board, but it's $110 if I purchase beforehand. With the pass, I'd try to go once per day either before or after dinner. Perhaps in the morning for the Naples day.  Anyone know how much the cruise long pass is on board?

One of the things that worried me pre-cruise was being able to get tickets to the theater shows.  However, we've found that you can book the shows the afternoon of the event as long as you are going to the 11 pm showing with no problems.  You'll also get good seats as long as you show up 10 or more minutes before the show.  There were limited seats for those in big groups who showed up 5 minutes after the show started.....

Did they not have a yacht club section reserved at the shows?

Overall Thoughts

We definitely can’t say enough about how good the Yacht Club is on the MSC World Europa.  The service, amenities and food were over the top.  I’ve stayed at a couple of high end hotels and they can’t compare to YC.  The only things less than stellar are the tepid temperature of the whirlpool and one iffy room service delivery of pizza that was not coordinated with our butler.  Everything else was awesome.

Good to hear!  We just booked this for next summer.

We liked the singing shows at the theater.  Nothing spectacular, but still good for the 45 minute shows and the seating is comfortable.  We had no problems getting seats and we were only escorted by our butler the first night.

Was it only available the first night or did you only use it first night?

We rarely interacted with the YC Director, but focused more on the interaction with the wait staff, who are great.  This really made all the difference.  We would do more YC based cruises with MSC just for that experience.  We’d like to do another 7 day cruise including two days at Ocean Cay, but right now only 3 or 4 day cruises include multiple days at Ocean Cay, and I really don’t want to do a party boat.  Hopefully they can offer a multi-day Ocean Cay 7 day cruise in the future, especially when the World America sails starting 2025.  However, all I see is Western or Eastern Caribbean cruises with that ship posted at this time.

We’re currently on a 7 night cruise that had two days at Ocean Cay. It was awesome!

We went to a total of three shows (Diva, Elton John tribute, A Night on Broadway).  We registered for these shows in the afternoons before the shows and then would show up 10-15 minutes before the show.  Most folks showed up 5 minutes before the show, so we had our pick of seats.

What 7 day itinerary has the two days at Ocean Cay?

The Seaside out of Port Canaveral. We went there for two days, sea day, Costa Maya, Cozumel, sea day, Port Canaveral.

I know now how I missed this.  This Western Caribbean 7 day itinerary is only offered in 2023.  I couldn't find 2024/2025 cruises with this same route.  But it sounds like a great itinerary with a combination of nice beach days and a cultural port in Costa Maya.  There is an 11 day itinerary on the Seashore, but that's just a back-to-back 6 and 5 day cruises, which attracts the booze cruise crowds.

Either not available or possible to negotiate. But surely much more expensive than buying before as a day pass is around 80$

Yeah, decided to pay ahead for the thermal pass. I inquired on board and they quoted me about 365 Euro per couple for the week. About double the $220 USD from booking ahead.
