Thoughts on Doubletree Miami Airport?

I usually book Holiday Inn port Miami, but was thinking about booking the Doubletree Miami Airport. It's a lot less. I don't leave the hotel, I use the hotel restaurant. Any thoughts?

Was also considering this option but after reading several reviews...decided not to.

Airport hotels are fine if you are arriving late and do not want to see/experience Miami.  If all you want is a bed and maybe dinner it will be fine.  Hampton Inn Blue lagoon and the nearby Homewood Suites get better reviews and offer nearby dining and shopping options.

I had a res there for Miami Music Week last year; best rate in Miami.

But then I read the reviews.

And cancelled it.

Make sure you read the reviews.

I've read the reviews on TripAdvisor and Priceline.The recent ones seem positive. But the advice here makes me think twice. Spend the little bit extra and go with what I know
