Cell Phone Reception on Pacific Coastal Itinerary on Eclipse

Wondering if there is any cell phone reception on board the Eclipse for the pacific coastal itinerary.  Other than one day at sea, I anticipate having cell phone reception at each port, but was not sure about such while on the ship.  Thank you!

No, not once you're out of the port/harbor.

Do you mean without an internet package?  If so, then you do not want to even try unless you are in port as you will get connected to their very expensive network for phone calls.  Remember that they sail a certain distance from shore so they can legally open the casino and stores, so you are not sailing right along the coast per se.  Hopefully that clarifies your question?

I found that I had cell phone reception for about 30 minutes after leaving the port, or maybe about a mile.

Yeah, a mile or two is all your going to get most times..unless the tower is right at the shore and up high.  They want to get 12 miles out as fast as they can to open the casino/stores etc..
