Silhouette Entertainment

Recommended Posts

We are longtime RCCL cruisers looking forward to our first Celebrity cruise on the Silhouette.

(1) Do they have a piano bar like the Schooner Bar on RCCL ships?

(2) What kind of evening shows and entertainment are offered?  Is there somewhere I could see a sample list from previous cruises?

Thanks in advance

They have nice piano music in the Ensemble lounge, just outside Murano, usually every evening, or something similarly relaxing.

Other entertainment is like most cruise lines, a mix of comedian, magic, production shows etc, in the main theatre.

Silhouette has nothing like the Schooner bar which if I remember correctly is a singalong bar.

The ensamble lounge is a long narrow space with the "music area" part way along. Passengers who go for the music congregate near the players those at the end use it as a general lounge. Usually the performers are duo's or trio's, playing piano, violins, double bases etc. Not sing a long music.

The same performers "pop up" outside Al Bacio and occasionally in the Grand Foyer.

Silhouette often has guest performers in the theatre who stay on board for a number of cruises. Watchout for Matt McGurk - magician with a full show including large illusions and close up. Matt also does a workshop teaching a few tricks. Oli Nez a saxophonist is also excellent.

Sorry pushed to soon. Celebrity Central is an interesting venue hidden away behind a curved wall outside the main theatre. Used for talks, as a movie theatre, late night adult game shows and adult comedians. Limited seating. Check it out in the day time do you can find it.

Liars Club is often held in CC - if Julie is the Guest Services Director her performances in Liars Club are not to be missed. If you do meet Julie and think she sounds familiar you will be correct as she is also "the voice in the lifts on most Celebrity ships and on many Royal ones as well.

Have a great cruise.

There's no piano bar, as others have mentioned.

Ensemble Lounge usually features duos or trios - often soft background music. Not singalong. I haven't seen a piano in EL for quite awhile although it could depend on what entertainers the CD books.

There will often be entertainers in the grand foyer so if you sit in the Passport Lounge, you'll be close to the music and if you like to dance, that's the place to sit.

We often wind up in the Sky Lounge in the evening because there's always something going on (live or recorded music) - well, until midnight which is about when the X crowd calls it a night. Certain shows (ABBA) will fill the place.

(There was a piano bar - Michael's Club - but that's now the lounge for suite guests.)

ensemble lounge is nice but is used more by individuals waiting for their Specialty dining res time.. if you are at a table folks will be walking past coming or going .  But if you catch a calm  period its a  cozy spot!  have heard some nice jazz there..
