How much time needed between excursions

For the first time ever, we plan on doing 2 excursions in 1 day (in Dominica). How much time do you all feel should be allotted between them?

Are these RCI excursions or private? With RCI you could verify with them before you leave for the first one. If they're private excursions, let the tour operator know you need to be back at a certain time. With all that being said, I would want at least one hour between excursions.

The planner will not let you book if it's not enough time.  We actually did this in Tortola.  The baths in the am and norman island snorkeling in afternoon.  These were heavily discounted for Cyber Monday.  We hated the baths but loved the snorkeling.

for me i like to have at least 2 hours between the two excursions because excursion can sometimes run a slightly longer then the estimate time
