gambling on slots

We are cruising on MSC Seascape later this month.  I know this has been discussed but will someone please explain this to me.  I read that there is no charge if we use cash not a credit card for playing slots.  Does this mean we have to bring all funds we think we may need to gamble?  Can we withdraw money with are ship card to use in the casino without a charge.  I'm feeling a little dense on this subject.

A little confused, but..

   We use cash in the machine & if we feel like it, charge to the room...on the machine.

No extra fees for doing this.

If you do charge back to your cabin-they are going to take it out of the $250 credit card hold and they may need to authorize another $250. We always take cash in the casino-it helps with overspending!

What about OBC?  Can we charge to the room and they take it out of our OBC?
