Hello my fellow experienced travelers.  This cruise is our first with a CPAP.  We are thrilled to learn that Viking provides distilled water.  However, we are wondering if you have any tips or tricks for cleaning your CPAP during at 11 day cruise?  At home, we have a SoClean machine for daily cleaning but we do not plan on traveling with it since it is heavy.  Thanks in advance!

Hope you've done your due diligence on SoClean.

Just take your hose and rinse out with hot water in the shower, and drain in the shower.  Mask and cushions can be hand washed in the sink.  Because you need to physically remove any residue that attaches to surfaces, not just spray gas around it.  Actually clean it.

Both of us use CPAPs. We clean our CPAPs and change mask parts every 2 weeks, so we clean right before the cruise and again when we get home. Another note - about 75% of the time, the distilled water is not in our cabin when we check in, but just tell your room steward when he/she introduces themselves and you’ll get it immediately.

The ozone cleaners were a contributing factor in the massive recall of Phillips CPAP machines, as the gas degraded some of the material inside the machine.

DW has used a CPAP for over 10-years and only washes with hot, soapy water then rinses well. She hangs the hose in the shower to dry. She cleans every 1 to 2 weeks.
