$25  for a pour of Eagle rare ???  I get a 750 for $10 more !

This doesn't make much sense to me either, but even less sense that the Blanton's was only $18 by comparison??  Was Cuervo also $7 more than Patron??

Perfect, I will be there or World Class Bar mostly.  Not a fan of martini bar, I know many are but if i get a martini its the classic one and even then it needs to be made correctly.

Saulo was the head bartender at World Class, makes great drinks including an excellent unique Old Fashioned. When we were there he was one of three bartenders that were making their own cocktail as part of a fleet wide contest.  We got to try his cocktail, forget what he called it, but I am sure you could ask him to make it if he is still there.

I didn't understand their pricing either but it didn't stop me from having Blanton's at $3 over premium package versus the other less expensive bourbons like Eagle Rare at $8 or more over premium allowance. Gift horse concept.

Absolutely!  I personally don't really understand the hype around Eagle Rare.  It's fine, especially if I've already had a couple of others, but honestly I prefer both regular BT and Blanton's over ER.

Definitely use to be easy to find, In NH now it is thru a lottery system which I happily won this year and got a bottle.  But if I see it ever I pick it up

Same here in VA except I have yet to win the lottery for Blanton’s or Pappy’s.  I keep trying though.

I am still hoarding a bottle of Blantons Gold I got in St Martin a few years ago.  Open it only for special occasions  as my Son also loves it and would help me finish it off in no time.

There is a bottle of Gold for $120 here. But the lottery is not open now.

You are going to force me to drive into DC as much as I hate going there.

The 10-year old is $41.99 here in VA.

Yeah. Me too. Forgot there was a Costco in DC. Blasted VABC!

They do their random, be five minutes away when you get the text, product drops for Blanton's. And sometimes Wellers. I enter the lottery for Pappy, and laugh hysterically when I do it...

Well, if you ever want to get bourbon that you can't find in the states, go visit Gulu at 76  Front street in St Maartin.  He has a great selection of high end bourbons, where I bought the Blanton's Gold when we visited there on the Edge.  Will be going back in '25 on the Ascent.

And since I was last there in '19, he has opened a bar across the street where you can try before you buy.  My friend did that a few months ago, and he ended up buying a Blanton's Black after trying it at the bar first.

For those bourbon drinkers among us...I just got off the Edge yesterday and found Blanton's at the Casino bar.  Didn't find it anywhere else on board, including the Club and Sunset Bar.  It's $18/pour and they measured it a bit miserly...but it's the first time in 18months where I've found Blanton's on X.  Despite my best efforts, there remain several bottles left.  They also had Eagle Rare, but at $25, I passed on it. Just a public service announcement for those who care.

Interesting, they were only charging $20 per drink for eagle rare on solstice last week.  I drank way too much of that..

I could think about worse problems to have 😂

It was the first time I'd seen/had Eagle Rare in probably 15 years.  When they told me it was only a $3 up charge per drink.. Let's just say my liver told me that I need to take a long break after this cruise was over..  LOL

Totally agree.  Unfortunately in my part of the world (near NYC) it's nigh impossible to find it at the release price, and has been for almost a decade.  I was lucky (maybe even smart) enough to stock up about 6-7yrs ago when the prices really began to skyrocket.  I found a store in NY which had a bunch of jugs (1.75L) of the Weller 12yr at a much better price than the 750s.  Since it's the same bourbony goodness inside, I bought every one they had at a price equivalent of roughly $65/750ml.  I'm still working my way through that treasure trove...I'm down to my last 2 big bottles.

That would be nice.  In FL all Weller items are controlled by ABC liquor (on a handshake deal from the previous owners).  You can't buy anything higher than the green label without being in the ABC Valut program (costs $500 for the chance that you might be picked and you might be able to click on the email fast enough).

I got my one Weller 12 a couple years back in France of all places.  There was this cool store that translated to "Slice of whiskey, sip of cheese" where they had it for about $80.

I was completely shocked that they had such good pours on the Beyond this summer after so many years of nothing.  I use to be able to sit in Michael's club and drink Booker's, Baker's - basically almost anything I wanted.  They had tasting nights each night, and by the third night it was just me and the bartender trying stuff out for $20 charge and a heavy cash tip.  That was only 5 to 10 years ago also - not that long ago.
