Finally it was time to head back to the stateroom and get changed for pictures and dinner!

What art piece did you buy?  My Wife and I enjoy the Park West auctions very much.

I get out to the normal spot, the Great Outdoors. We are sailing south on the east side of Prince of Wales Island.

Beautiful day! The sun made for very complex picture edits though.

I could tell we were getting closer to Ketchikan as the number of boats had increased exponentially.

We got on the downtown shuttle. The bus was full of people from the Encore as our fellow shipmates were still having breakfast.

The shuttle drops you off near berth 4 in Ketchikan. Note: Ketchikan has shuttles that you can catch here that take you into downtown.

We decided to walk off the giant breakfast we were heading to eat!

These were made by a local school group. They are wire salmon.

The Discovery Center costs about $5 per person. If you have a National Parks Interagency Pass, you can use this for your admission to the discovery center.

As the Encore headed out, we got back onto the Sun. We dropped stuff off at the room and then went to the Great Outdoors for lunch.

You’ve given me lots of places to check out next time we are in Ketchikan. On Encore in August we did the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman’s tour and I agree it was excellent.

We hope to be on the Joy in 2025 on a 10 night Alaska sailing where the port stops are much much longer.
