Amazon River Depth Is Very Shallow From Drought

Has anyone received any details regarding this from Oceania?

Looks ominous for our November-December cruise but we have yet to hear a word. Chances are the will just add some more Caribbean Islands to replace what would have been interesting and new to us.😥

Rainy season doesn't begin until mid-December.  We are booked for a March Amazon cruise.  I hope the river recovers by then!

They could decide to go upstream  a "little bit", and not all the way to Manaus. Plenty to see. I agree that this is a big "unknown". (My DW suggests that the ship divert to Rio for pre-carnival activities...)

 

We are embroiled in issues regarding Oceania Air options, etc. Things certainly do get complicated quickly.

We are on that cruise, too.
