How do 2 couples pay separately for a specialty dining reservation when reserving in the cruise planner?

Use separate logins to reach the planner.

Like Biker said they log in and pay for theirs and you log in a pay for yours.  The other option is one of you pays for 4 and the other pays you back.

If you book all 4 together (a table for 4) you cant use separate cards.  Booking that way will require  one person to pay and the other pays them back or you each book as 2 and pay separately and then on board request a table for 4.

Thanks Ken! That’s what we ended up doing. I booked the table for 4 while it was on sale and our friends will repay.

That's the easiest way.  While it shouldn't be a problem getting two table of two combined to a table for 4 that is just one more thing you have to deal with on board.  Enjoy your dinner.
