How does this work? is this something you need to sign up at the cruise next desk? I never received any kind of priority tags or letters about this on my past cruises.

On a recent Dawn cruise, priority disembarkation luggage tags were provided to those who qualified. We met in a specific lounge and were escorted to the gangway by the concierge. Easy peasy! Suggest speaking to Guest Services to ensure you get the correct tags.

We rarely use this, as we tend to walk off with our bags, but when we have done so we just asked at the cruise next desk for the luggage tags.

The tags mean that your bags will be ready for collection very soon after you disembarkation starts, so you can leave early.

I’ve never even asked about being escorted off. We’ve been going off and on the ship for the whole cruise, so we know the way without anyone holding our hands.

Having said that, we usually cruise in places where there aren’t queues for immigration etc, so I suppose an escort may be handy in places where that is an issue.

On most ships, “priority” disembarkation means that you can get Yellow luggage tags and your bags will be the first taken to the baggage hall after suites. It. Normally it does not mean you are escorted.

It is a perk for Platinum and above.

We are Diamond members and on our last cruise, we got an invitation to be escorted from the General Manager. We were the only ones on the lounge getting escorted. If you are not in a suite and get escorted, it is normally the General Manager’s Secretary that runs it.
