Izumi Lunch

There is currently a good sale price for lunch at Izumi on a few of my upcoming cruises.  Per the menu, you can choose 1 small plate and 2 large plates.  Does anyone know if they'll let you order 2 small and 1 large plate instead?     Thanks!

I have before, but also found that for myself, I am better just getting a la carte and not getting the pre cruise selection. Also, if you get the Pre deal, you will only get 4 pieces of sushi, and not 8 that you would get from ordering a la carte. I don’t eat sushi, but I love the ramen, so gyoza and ramen is plenty for me and comes out costing less.

Check the menu and prices, and see which works out better.

Thanks for the suggestion--I'm not a sushi eater either but enjoy ramen and appetizers.  I'll check out the a la carte pricing.

I was allowed to get a 2nd small plate instead of dessert which you didnt mention. Kinda wierd dessert choices. Poke is my favorite which is 23.95 ala carte. I think the set price sale price is good for what I order. The is a free soup. I got the other soup and liked it better. Also the 5 pork things. Also some other small items. I asked for a double poke bowl for the avacado slices and poke. Said mot double rice and the green stuff salad. 

 

Try the free soup. Hot tea free, though I also had shes a geisha girl drink I liked. Used voucher for the mixed drink. I liked other things better than their sushi choice same as you.

I think the free soup is the miso soup. It's the first one listed.

Thanks @firefly333   It's been years since I've eaten in Izumi....I think last time it was when they had the hot rock cooking (is that even still a thing?)

Yes I think you mean izumi hibachi. It's more expensive but also on sale for lunch. 2 sides to this small restaurant.

Before we started our healthy diet 🤣

How were those fried wontons?  They look wonderful!  I have lunch booked and was hoping to be able to do two small and one large.  Thanks!!

I deleted most of mine. That's a picture of the 5 pork things dumplings? I also had the tempura shrimp and veggies. I was disappointed, 1 shrimp and 1 of each veggie. 1 onion ring, 1 asparagus. That picture is the drink I mentioned shes a geisha. A bit tart. 

 

I found a picture of my favorite, the poke bowl. This is the single. Last picture is the drink and free appetizer

We have booked twice for next week on Mariner and will do the 2 small 1 big both times 

Oh I tried the firecracker spring rolls too. Good. Not sure which I love best. All my favorites.

Next week is just me, first time solo.  I have had a horrendous several months at work and this is my get-away weekend to relax, watch the ocean, and go to the spa.  😄  Stephen will be with me next April also on Allure again out of PC.  First time in Star Class, should be fun!

We had dinner at Izumi on Anthem a couple weeks ago excellent food and service.  Our server suggested ways to mix and match the pre-fixe options to maximize the value.  Highly recommend!

Both times I ate there for lunch I did that.  I don't eat sushi, so there are 2 apps I love and then I do the beef dish for my main and the green tea mochi ice cream for dessert.  They have never questioned it.   I prefer ships that have the teppanyaki table though, as I love that!!!   And I always order She's a Geisha for my drink

Thank you @3yorkies.  I'm not a sushi eater, but love most of what else is on the menu.  The lunch was a really good deal on a few of our cruises.   Several people have recommended the "She's a Geisha" drink.  I'll have to try that for sure.
