Precruise navigator app menus?

If I’m in a booking on the navigator app I can see menus for the MDR - are those samples or the actual menus for Day 1?

just curious since the lunch matches (iirc) the embarkation-day lunch last year on Rotterdam.

They're the real menus for the MDR and Lido. Depending on the itinerary, they may match exactly. For instance, if you are doing a 7 day Western Caribbean and the ship is on that itinerary, you will likely see the same menus. If the ship is on a 7 day Eastern Caribbean now, you'll be one menu cycle "off."

We're on the Nieuw Statendam tomorrow. We've been watching the menus as the NS does her transatlantic to Fort Lauderdale. It's a different voyage in a different market (Europe v's Caribbean,) so I expect our menus to be a little different.

Either way, it's kind of fun to watch and read.

We've seen menus change once on board. I would take it as a sample for now but may stay once onboard if you are trying to plan specific day dining.

Agree was told menus pre-cruise were not accurate since navigator app does not run on the ships system till you are on board.

Our experience on board was the menu updated daily.

As a menu collector, every ship in the Caribbean 2023/24 season for 7 days will have the same MDR dinner menu. That is true also for 11-Day cruises, 10-Day cruises, and 9-Day cruises.  Collector cruises (combining smaller segments that each board in Port Everglades into a single booking) will have the same MDR menus as their individual segments.  That means a 21-Day Collector cruise will be a combination of three 7-Day cruises, or a 11/10-Day combination, with their respective segment menu series.

If you want to download the menus for a pending cruise, you can match the corresponding day numbers on any HAL current cruise (in the same location, segment, and duration) in your Navigator app..

Another option is to download the menus that have already been copied by others (see the link in the lower right corner of my signature).

Note that the first Gala nights may be on either Day 2 or Day 3 on different HAL ships.  Of course a few MDR menus my vary for special occasion ( Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter, Mother's Day, etc) or if an ingredient was not onboarded in Fort Lauderdale.
