Non working key card in casino

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had this problem and not have it resolved? We were on the Gem from 1-11 thru 1-25 and the only time it worked in the casino was the first night. We reported the issue to the rewards people and they tried to remedy the issue but nothing ever worked.  Played in casino for 12 of the 14 days and only got credit for the first night as far as I can tell.  Any idea of how to contact Casinos at Sea and get credit where credit is due?

I can't assist on how to get credit for what you played (good luck with that), but inquiring minds want to know: why/how the heck didn't your card function properly in either machines or when getting rated?  Didn't you get a new card?  Was it b/c your name/account wasn't linked, but otherwise appeared to be linked?  Seems very odd.

Where would one see this credit?

Assuming the OP generally means 'recognition' for his/her play.

The only thing you can physically see or learn is your tier credit point balance.  You can see your points earned toward tier status by popping your card (or touching it against) a slot machine.  When you play machines, you can see your points accumulate in front of your eyes.  After you play tables, looking at a machine, you can see that your point level may have increased.

You could also ask the Casinos At Sea staff what point total you have.

That said, while points equal advancement to different tier status, they do not necessarily translate into what casino discount/freebie offers you may get...that's based on a proprietary algorithm driven by duration of play, wins, losses, amount of bet, the cut of your jib, how funny you are, and how knows what else.

When we were on board the Joy, the entire players tracking system was down for a couple  of hours the last day of  the cruise.  We were  advised  we could play  but wouldn't  be given credit  until  the tracking system  was back  up.  No additional  tier points were awarded.

Thanks for the contact info.  I spoke to the Casinos at Sea staff there every day. Said they were working on it.  New card changed nothing. Both my wife's card and mine did not keep track of points earned.  We get cruise offers based on our play, so I intend to contact Casinos at Sea to see how then intend to resolve this.

Good luck.  Should you remember, please let us know how if it was resolved to your satisfaction.

It needed to be resolved on the ship. After the fact you won’t get anything.
