Maybe we’ll need to - Oasis is still at the dock! I’m sitting at the schooner bar and have seen a lot of white shirted officers around. Don’t know if they are available in case of questions, or about to round us up!

Yeah, this whole thing is weird. I’m started to wonder why we docked at all (it was already very windy this morning), but having read all the complaints when a ship misses a port, guessing they took a chance that things would get better!
Rare DandDM Posted February 7 Author #104 Share Posted February 7 (edited) Time for my favorite part of the day, dinner review (actually, eating it is the better part)! Tonight was Giovanni’s and I’m going to try and use some of the fancy terms from those cooking shows. Started with arugula salad. They offered a balsamic glaze on top, the mix was perfect with the sweetness of the glaze offsetting the bitterness of the arugula. Next: mushroom risotto. Always one of my favorite dishes on the ship. went a little off schedule for the main. Since the meat dishes have only been ok the first two nights, wanted to try the fish, so The Brazino. Very happy with this plate, with crispy skin, tender meat, and the perfect amount of acid so I noticed it, but it didn’t overpower. Also appreciated that I could taste the fish and not just a sauce. finally, cannoli for desert. Note that in order to fully enjoy this, you must take liberal use of the chocolate sauce served on the side. Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc (not pictured) to complete the meal. cheers, Edited February 7 by DandDM

Lots of comments about that this evening in the crown lounge. General consensus was that they didn’t want to refund all the extras. I heard quite a few comments about partial refunds. Just think, we may be the first ship to overnight here! 3

New update I’m sure you heard: might be leaving between midnight and 2 am. Still expected to be in Labedee on schedule. your projection for an overnighter is looking good … who is your pick for the superbowl? Since I’m not a football fan you’d have to tell me who’s playing! I only watch the superbowl for the commercials. I hear the Clydesdale horses will be back! 2

Lookin less and less likely that they will be able to salvage a stop at Labadee if that is the timeline. They could maybe make up some time but leaving 7-9 Hrs after scheduled departure will make it tough . If that is the case He Probably won't be in any big rush to get off anymore . GL Or if this is accurate hopefully I'm wrong... "New update I’m sure you heard: might be leaving between midnight and 2 am. ATG Posted February 7 #111 Share Posted February 7 Captain said they usually go slowly from here to Labadee but they can speed up. Only time will tell. Of course, it all depends on when we are able to leave.

Rare perfect match Posted February 7 #115 Share Posted February 7 Was Hideaway Beach a loud party place while you were there? I bought it at cheap BF price but am seriously considering canceling it. I couldn’t get your videos to play on my iPad tonight. We’ve been having internet problems in the neighborhood lately so that’s probably why. Land line phones for those who still have them aren’t working either. The problems all started with the most recent Xfinity upgrade! Can’t wait to see what happens in two days when they come to fix it! 😂 If it makes you feel any better about being stuck at the Coco Cay pier the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch 🚀 that was supposed to go up from KSC was scrapped tonight, postponed until 1:33 Thursday AM.
Rare perfect match Posted February 7 #116 Share Posted February 7 After a couple of internet blips, videos are playing! All I could hear at Hideaway beach was the wind and the waves! Yikes! No wonder you’re stuck at the pier! Hope you have smooth sailing once the ship is able to get away from the dock.

ATG Posted February 7 #118 Share Posted February 7 We left sometime last before 4:30. When I woke up then we were definitely moving, and rocking and rolling. I talked to a couple who were at Hideaway yesterday and they said it wasn’t that noisy. We’re on Freedom next week and got cheap tickets for it. They were 19.99. At that price if it’s too loud I won’t feel bad just leaving. 2

While I was at the pool/bar area the DJ was not playing, however they started when I was eating. From there wasn’t too loud, but did not go back to the pool. the place is so large, thinking that it wouldn’t be difficult to find a quiet spot. Yesterday was not the best example though!
Rare DandDM Posted February 7 Author #121 Share Posted February 7 @ATG gave a good update, I woke up at 1:30 and we hadn’t moved, then the motion of the ship (and my bathroom door slamming) woke me up around 4am. Rolling all night. Today it is warmer, sunny, but still windy and ship moving a bit. Concerned about my run as I actually missed doing it yesterday, will check after breakfast to see if outside deck 4 is open. Not sure I could stay on a treadmill! Only plans for today: top tier at 10 and wine tasting at 2. cheers,
Rare DandDM Posted February 7 Author #122 Share Posted February 7 Breakfast was The Standard (their name, not mine). Bacon was sliced very thin, but still tasty. a few brave folks heading out on deck, seas still a bit angry! right when top tier was to start, a rain squall sent everyone under cover. Entertainment was Marty McFly from aqua show. Got a photo of the captain, realized I’ve seen him around the ship, but never close enough to see name tag. I had noticed he had a lot of stripes, earlier, but again, not close enough to count with my untrained eyes. Some more photos, Super Mario is on board! That makes zero sense. Did you mis-type or did they mis-speak? Oasis, could be talking about Utopia or even a 7th (maybe?) Icon - They could be referring to yet unnamed Icon 3. Project discovery? It would have to be closer to the Voyager size,

Rare DandDM Posted February 7 Author #125 Share Posted February 7 (edited) Ship run today! Turned into a good one. Historically, I’ve had trouble with pacing on a ship, so ran my phone stopwatch while running and did the math on lap distance before starting. Even with that, started to struggle on lap four or five…slogged through that and felt better as I kept going. I think the motion of ship, even though slight, adds unexpected stress to my body. did ten laps, so just over 4 miles at approx 11 min pace. Had a few instances where people were in the way, but most folks were very accommodating. So photos while running, apologies for the quality as I didn’t stop to take them 🙂 Oh, yeah: the ‘artistic painter workshop’ sign. That is on a door facing the outside of the ship, by the life boats. Can’t be a very big space. Guessing it’s a joke? Edited February 7 by DandDM
