Water or Soda on board

My son and his family will taking a cruise on the Liberty in June.  He knows that he can bring water on board.  He wants to know if he can bring cans of soda along too?

You can bring a dozen cans/bottles of non-alcoholic beverages onboard. It needs to be hand-carried. 

 

We don't have the energy to be lugging around water or soda. Just a bottle to get us through embarkation
