We’re taking the train Seward to Anchorage from the cruise port.  Which side of the train should we sit on?  Do we need to get a seat assignment before boarding or is it open seating?  Suggestions please.  Thanks!

Left side. They views along Turnagain Arm are very nice. There is a section where you travel towards the Placer River Valley that Spencer Glacier and Grandview will be off the right side but for most of the trip, the left side is best.
