Oktoberfest 2024

Anyone know of a river cruise (or other cruise) that also takes people to Munich for Oktoberfest?  The only one I can find is with Tauck and the price is WAY out of my range.  I know I can get there myself, perhaps off a river cruise, but I'd like a pre or post-cruise extension, with a hotel and actual reservations for one of the beer tents.

A lot of river cruise companies do offer a pre/post cruise extension to Munich. I can see the Viking buses quite often here in town. I´m pretty sure that AmaWaterways and Uniworld are offering this too.

The biggest surprise for me when booking a trip to Munich (and trying to MISS Oktoberfest) was the fact that Octoberfest starts in September!!  😲  We were there mid-September and just missed the opening (and the increase in hotel rates...)
