Excursion and Disembarkation timing

We're planning the Helo/Glacier walk in Juneau. Port arrival time is the same time as the excursion. We've booked this through HAL, so I'm sure they've got this covered, however what's the best way to disembark so we're sure to make the excursion connection?

Our last few cruises have had the booked excursion passengers meet at some point on board (such as the theater), then they release you with your individual excursion group and you disembark with your group and head straight to the bus, etc.

 

Not sure if all cruiselines do this, but all of ours have been like this the last few years.

The ship usually arrives early and is tied up at the dock at the arrival time posted.  Your excursion instructions will tell you where to meet as CCJack indicated above.  Just be there at the meeting time which may be 15 minutes before your excursion time.

They will tell you when and where to meet, just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

The arrival time on your HAL itinerary is the time when you can leave the ship.  Tours will wait a reasonable time for late guests.

 

Bring a small cup for a drink from the water flowing on the glacier surface.  Boots, trekking poles, and crampons are provided.
