When do the activities show up?

Recommended Posts

I'm sailing on Symphony on May 31st.

I see the big stuff like the shows and stuff but when does all the smaller things like trivia, bingo and all other activities show up?

I'm a planner and want to start planning things.

Look at the current sailing in the app (not yours) and assume most things will be similar on your sailing.

I'm not able to find how to do that

At the bottom of the main page of the app there should be a link to browse ships - that should list all of the ships in the fleet (and all sailings

for about the next three months). She is moving to Cape Liberty this week, so the 5/16 sailing is the first one that will have useful info, though it may not be complete - it should be by Friday.

I do not recall ever being able to sign up for Trivia or these types of entertainment in advance- if you want a good seat- get their early.

Correct, You can only add it to your calendar to remind you of the activity.

While it's great that you're trying to plan activities, here's my two cents, being an Activity Director myself:

1.) While it's great that you can look up the previous cruise's activity schedule, please note that this isn't set in stone. Activities rarely go according to plan. I've gone to activities where there was no power and the engine was stopped. I've also gone to shows where at least one performer had a sub due to being out with COVID.

2.) Sometimes activities run behind or are canceled due to unforseen circumstances.

To get an idea of what activities might be offered and a little behind-the-scenes of planning activities for a cruise ship, see "Love At Sea", which was filmed on Harmony Of The Seas.

I appreciate that.

We try to plan but are definitely not stranger to seeing how it goes.

Our 18 year old son is autistic.  So because he is an only child, no friends and isn't like other kids his age he still isn't allowed in the teen/kids areas because he is 18.  Maturity wise though he also isn't an adult.  He doesn't understand slang and sarcasm etc.  So we are trying to plan for his sake.

What can be difficult for my son is having too many options or something, he just can't choose, so this usually involves a lot of pre-planning. (If I were to throw him in a movie theater with 15 movie options he would literally stand there for two hours not knowing what to chose, but if you narrow it down to 2 movies or something that could work.)  With that we also know that some things just may not be for him and we may need to re-direct.  He is very smart and some might consider him higher functioning but he is actually moderate.
