Okay, this is probably a really stupid question......but, what are kitten heels:confused:

Hi,:) I am sure one of the gals will post a picture for you but they are

a little heel.....sort of spiked at the bottom.

Not a stiletto spike but just sort of a "mini" spike. If you ever

watched "Sex In The City", they became quite famous from and while

that show was first televised.

Actually, they are now fading out........where that BIG WEDGE

is now coming in......

But you can still find them around. Personally, I have never liked

the Kitten heel and have never purchased any...don't plan to either.

They are very small/short almost hour glass style heels. Actually they were quite fashionable in my mom's days- early 50's but have been popular again. Like they say, What comes around goes around! Since I have always been tall, they are exactly the right hight for me, about 1 - 1 1/2 ". I love the look of the Escadrille but again, they are making the wedges so high.

I love the kitten heels. I call them "baby high heels." I am 5'8" and they are the perfect height for me. They are easy to walk in too. LOVE THEM!

Here's a picture of a pair similar to what I bought for my teenage daughter:

 

She always wears Vans slip ons, or other flats, these work great for her instead of heels. I'm glad she doesn't yet care for heels!

Kitten heels are wonderful. Especially if you are on your feet for a long time. They now make them very dressy or casual. So, you can find a pair to go with almost any outfit!!
