jdmss Posted June 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2006 I am just about to book an Alaska cruise, and cant decide whether to book just the balcony or the BC Verandah suite, has anyone booked this ? and can tell me if it was worth it? Thanks!
jhannah Posted June 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2006 I'm not sure what you mean. A BC cabin (as well as A, B, BA and BB) has a balcony. They call them Verandah Suites, but they're not really suites in the way most of us think of suite accommodations. The differences among these categories is location. The BCs are far forward or far aft. I believe a verandah would be worthwhile and enjoyable for an Alaska sailing.
Krazy Kruizers Posted June 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2006 BC on the Veendam is a "just balcony" cabin. It will have a lounge chair, regular chair and a small cocktail table. Many people want the balconies so that they have their own personal place to view the scenary, entering and leaving the ports, and watching the calving of the glaciers.
