Cabins on higher decks?

Recommended Posts

I keep reading about having more motion the higher you are up and the closer to the front you are. Now my room is located on deck 10 towards the back of the boat. How does that go when motion is concerned? I am also quite new to cruising, my second one, so excuse this question if it seems silly.
Actually you get more motion the farther you are up, and the farther you are away from the center (front to back). So a room toward the back (aft) will get more motion than one toward the center.

It's nice being on deck 10 because it's close to the Windjammer. I

usually fix a tray for breakfast and take it back to my room. Also it's

nice to be close to the pool so you can run back to your room if you

forget something. But, also there's a lot of action on the lower decks.

There's the casino, the shows, dinner, bars, etc. So either way, if

your room is on the lower deck you'll be hiking up to the top deck. If

room is on the top deck you'll be trekking down to the lower decks.

Did you mention what ship your on?
