If we want to try unique Amsterdam restaurants, would Indonesian ones be interesting. Indrapura has been mentioned on these boards. Are there others that we should consider? We will be in Amsterdam 2 nights pre-cruise. Many thanks for any help!:)

Indrapura is very good and situated on Rembrandtsplein, which a nice location to have a pre or after dinner drink at one of the many outside terraces.

In Utrechtsestraat -not that far away from Indrapura - is Tempoe Doeloe.

Also very good for Indonesian is Sama Sebo at PC Hooftstraat near Rijksmuseum. (Closed on sundays however).

Advance reservations are advised.

For dutch food De Roode leeuw (Red Lion) on Damrak near Dam is a nice place.

Many choices to make, also check:http://www.vvvamsterdam.nl/ and check eat and drink.

Ine,

Thanks so much for your suggestions. We are in the process of checking out the websites and then will make a reservation. It is always great to have input from someone who has dined at these restaurants.

Jan:)
