When you're on the posting screen you will see a paper clip in the grey area on top of the box. Click on the triangle to the right of it and a new window will pop up. It is there that you can choose your picture and upload it. Once that's done, close that window. Click on the paper clip and select the picture that's now ready to place within your post.

 

There are lots of places to get countdown timers. Tickerfactory dot com is one. You might try a Google search to find more.
