PACrew Posted August 4, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2006 Quick Question? I have a hold on an inside cabin on the enchantment...most likely deck 3 or 4. Does anyone know of any bad areas...meaning noise...down there? Last time I was on her, I had a balcony. I got a great deal here from my TA and cant really pass it up for a quick 4 day getaway. I appreciate your help
cb at sea Posted August 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2006 I would think that would be a very quiet area. I'm not so sure I could go from a balcony to an inside--vacations--even short ones, are to be enjoyed and pampered! (JMHO!) But--if you don't mind the dark, you should have a great time! PACrew Posted August 4, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted August 4, 2006 I was concerned about engine virbration or noise from crew decks...thats all. You are right, going from balcony to inside sux...but im paying under 250 for a 4 day cruise...ill take it...balcony was 500 bucks more a piece...plus i am only in the room to sleep. THanks for your help!
lyndamarie6 Posted August 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2006 We just got off the Enchantment 4 weeks ago and had deck 4 two inside cabins giving the kids their own cabin, we loved it!! There was no noise whatsoever, in fact quiet as a mouse and if you go to the mid ship area it has the atrium right there with lots of seats to look out the huge windows! Its a perfect location you go up one deck and your at the casino and lounge, and your on the restaurant deck its in the rear great location! Also, its the exact same deck you board so you can walk with luggage to your cabin without needing shairs or elevator and leaving the ship you walk right off there. :)

dawne577 Posted August 4, 2006 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2006 My DH and I are also thinking of booking the 4 day Enchantment but ours would really be last minute - first of October for the sailing on the 19th. I know we won't get the cream of the crop but are there any cabin ###'s that anyone would absolutely not stay in again because of noise, sewage smell, location...? P.S. I'm assuming bedbug infestation won't be an issue!!!
hayesktrm Posted August 4, 2006 #8 Share Posted August 4, 2006 Don't have any advice here...just saw that you are going for under $250 and am very jealous. Have a great time!
steve20832 Posted August 4, 2006 #9 Share Posted August 4, 2006 I was in cabin 3581 in January, it was very quiet and it was in the "new" section.
Treven Posted August 4, 2006 #10 Share Posted August 4, 2006 While not specific to this ship, I've always gotten an inside cabin on deck 3 or 4 and it's really quiet & peaceful down there. The lower decks generally aren't a part of the main traffic flow on the ship, so the only people down there are the cleaning crew and passengers who have cabins there. In addition I had some of the best night's sleep in the bowels of the ship; I never hear any engine noise.
