Men's shoe question

My DH loves to wear Caribbean type shirts and I have been told this would be fine for dinner on casual nights with Princess. At least on Carribean night, right? Ok, so what shoes do you put with this? The only time he wears these shirts are usually with shorts and then he wear sandals. We have bought a light pair of slacks to wear with a dressier flowery Caribbean type shirt. I hope I am making some sense here. Anyway, what shoes would you wear? His casual shoes don't look right. I would think sandals would be the look but don't think they would be appropriate for the dining room.

Whimsey, linen pants and leather soled sandals with a stacked wood heel. They are dressier than regular mandals.

 

My husband wears Rainbow flipflops with his but not to a dressier affair.

Casual loafers, no socks.

I like the look of a quality woven leather shoe with and without tassels.

My husband typically will wear a deck shoe with no socks, even wearing long pants. Something like this, in tan:

I second the boat shoe--I think that's about as casual as a man should go in the dining room--heck for evening time period.

My husband has some dressy leather fisherman's loafer (with a plain leather sole--no nubby rubber or anything :rolleyes: ) This is what he will wear with dressier summer outfits (not formal, but definitely with khakis & a silk print shirt)
