Hawaii questions?

Hi!

 

We are taking a Hawaii cruise in a couple weeks on a NCLA ship. If we were only going to dive once this week, where/what should it be?

The Big Island, Kona side. Visit the Volcano on the Hilo side.

Sheraton Cavern in Kauai. Green turtles parking lot :D

I would also suggest the Kona coast. The coral growth is better than Oahu. Lots of fish. Better chance to see spinner dolphins. I did two dives and saw big turtles, and also saw two large eagle rays. It felt really good swimming besides/behind an eagle ray. The way it moves looks so graceful.

Agree with Bruce - Kona side, Big Island. If possible, consider a night manta dive. These guys are awesome!

Definitely do the manta dive if you can possibly arrange it.

The Manta Dive would be awesome, but we are not going to be on the big island overnight, our overnights are on Maui and Kaui. Thank you for everyone's suggestions so far.

If you can't do the Manta dive, then I'd catch a boat out of Kihei and dive the backwall of Molokini (Ed Robinson's is who we use). Equally strong choice IMO would be to catch a boat out of Lahaina (either Lahaina Divers or Extended Horizons) and dive Lanai.

if on maui, lahaina divers is a very good dive op, and id try molokini crater
