Northbound - Port or Aft?

Planning on a northbound cruise aboard the Sapphire Princess. I know alot of people like starboard for the northbound cruise, but I like the idea of hearing the commentary of the naturalist when the ship enters Glacier Bay and College Fjord and the advantage goes to port. However, I also like the idea of being in an aft balcony. What are the disadvantages of being in an aft balcony in Alaska?

IF you only want your glaicer viewing from your cabin, then you need the port side. The commentary is heard outside on open decks.

A disadvantage of aft is for wildlife viewing, which is superior from tracking ahead, but only for hard core people like me- probably. :)
