DAHMAN Posted November 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Okay so in fun what do you think might happen if you fell overboard in the Gulf of Mexico on your way to Cozumel? Let's assume you have a life jacket on and you fell off the ship at 2am and no one realizes you are missing until early the next morning. What is your fate? takeatrip Posted November 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I'm seeing an island, but there are some others already there. Luckily I have my own side. But then I find a hatch which plays old music from the 70's and a guy asking if I am the one......
deeron51 Posted November 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Yikes! What was the name of that movie where the scuba divers got forgotten about and the boat left without them?

DAHMAN Posted November 16, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Why would anyone be wearing their life jacket at 2:00am? Do you really want me to answer that? Afterall the 5th choice was float to shore and be eaten by cannibals. :D I can give you a good story if you want but let's just leave it as a hypothetical question and you happen to have a life jacket on at 2am. jetskier Posted November 16, 2006 #8 Share Posted November 16, 2006 And if it is a Carnival cruise, after a year do you want it to be a missionary or a hooker and why. (Question from the Newlywed/not so Newlywed game after being stranded on a deserted island, who you would want to rescue you.) Dave
mustang22 Posted November 16, 2006 #9 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I know that would be scary seeing that boat pull away until there was nothing but darkness and water around you. If it must be a shark I just hope it is big enough to eat me in one bite... :)
auburn77 Posted November 16, 2006 #10 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I don't get drunk. So,the probability for me to "fall" overboard would be somewhere in the neighborhood of zero.
JTJ Posted November 16, 2006 #11 Share Posted November 16, 2006 How about which cabin type and which side of the ship to be in if there's a big list (like Princess has)?

kingsgirl Posted November 16, 2006 #14 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I'm not sure about what the underneath of the ship is like, but is it possible to get sucked underneath and shredded by the propellers? A gross but legitimate thought I think!

ElvisandTracey Posted November 16, 2006 #17 Share Posted November 16, 2006 ***I wash up on the shore and am rescued by Sawyer (yummy), and we live happily ever after. Unless we get eaten by the polar bear, smooshed by the black smoke, or captured by the Others. Or just die of skin cancer due to lack of sunblock!! *** Opps, wrong boards...but the answer does fit the question.:D I think you should add option E to your poll: E: Rescued by a Mermaid (or Merman, depending on what you like). He/she swims you off to paradise, where you live happily ever after. ***shameless LOST plug, from a LOST fan currently suffering from withdrawl symptoms....:(
AspiringCindy Posted November 16, 2006 #18 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Wouldn't the fall alone kill you?!!:o It would feel like you hit a brick wall going 100mph! You would probably want a shark to come along and knock you out of your misery!! I do like the mermaid option though!!;)
ElvisandTracey Posted November 16, 2006 #19 Share Posted November 16, 2006 You should all read Skinny Dip by Carl Haiisen-he tells you (ficticiously) exactly what would happen if you went overboard, only no life vest, and pushed instead of fell. Great book, especially for cruise lovers!!:D
Mike & Sue Posted November 16, 2006 #20 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Of course I would survive, either swim to some deserted island or be picked up by some luxury yacht with non-stop parties.

The Big Booper Posted November 17, 2006 #22 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Hate to be the one to disappoint you, but they used that one on my Radiance cruise last week. This is because the new cruise director, Kieron Buffrey, comes to us from NCL and he is playing Love and Marriage the NCL and CCL way, not the RCI way. We complained about that on our comment cards so obviously nothing will change. He did not impress us, and is among the poorer CDs we have seen on RCI. We had 15 nights to make a judgement on him and as the cruise went on our opinion of him slipped, for various reasons

KillaFee Posted November 17, 2006 #24 Share Posted November 17, 2006 I would hope to pass out due to the shock of falling overboard and wake up on a boat/ship/raft headed towards italy or somewhere really really remote with kind natives.
