When does it start getting warm on 11 day NY cruises?

We've sailed three times out of NYC (late October, late November/early December) and found all three times that we could be out on deck in shorts on the afternoon of the first sea day (once you're down near Cape Hattaras). On the way back, we found the last sea day that it was too cool and windy to be on deck after noontime.

Enjoy your cruise! We love the Dawn!:D

Same here, we've been on the Dawn leaving NY in February. Once around the 10th and another on the 22nd. By 1:00 pm the following day you could sit out on the Deck and catch the sun. Hey, but don't wait till then, the hot tubs are ready and waiting so use them in the am while everyone else is walking around in their sweatsuits! Enjoy!
