we would, but there are none available. Its the 12 day Hawaii to Ensenada. Last time we did it we had the aft wrap. Waited too late to book this time, but I still check for cancellations 2-3 times day.

I did that - took me three months that someone cancelled the ultimate balcony on Princess C753-- then I grabbed it up. good luck

when final payment is coming due-- check hourly.

Glory 2348

 

It is another Glory cabin that has insufficient AC.

 

Since we had 2385 on the other side...but same :area: of Main deck...this seems to be a problem area.

 

Hopefully it is specifically on the Glory and not a problem with the Conquest "class" since we have 2389 booked on the Valor in September.

Thought I would share some feedback on this room in case someone comes searching for it. :)

 

We stayed in this room for our Mexican Riviera cruise to San Francisco (we were onboard when the CDC issued their travel advisory). It's located under the pizzeria and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that's a light sleeper. If I didn't have my earplugs with me, I would have been in big trouble. You can pretty much hear chairs moving all night.

 

One night, it sounded like a elephants moving through so I went upstairs to see how many people were up there and must have been 25-35 people in the area. And this was at 1:20 in the morning. Definitely bring your earplugs for this one. ;)

Spirit Class - 7A cabins (obstructed view). These are great cabins since they are a balcony at a bargain rate. But before you book be sure you know where the taller lifeboats are located. The first three lifeboats are taller then the others - which causes more of a view problem then the others. The remaining lifeboats hang below the balcony rail and cause less problems. The cabins with the taller lifeboats are 5142 - 5167 (best to be a couple more cabins back). Cabins 5168 - 5191 and 5224 - 5245 have the shorter lifeboats. Not that any of them are really bad. After all – how bad can a balcony at a lower price be?

 

How much of your view is obstructed in the 5168-5191/5224-5245 rooms? I DO like the idea of a balcony at a lower price, but just a little nervous/skeptical of such a deal... (this is our 1st time on Carnival)

Had room on Enchantment last year right below the Atrium Pool, the dragging of chairs was heard around 5 am every morning. One phone call produced a bottle of wine delivered to my room and an e-mail sent to me when I arrived home apologizing and came with a $400 voucher! I will not book under the pools again, but I thought they made up for it. I love Royal Caribbean!

really would depend on your tolerance for noise. BUT one night there is an island party and while we up there it was hopping. We got to our cabin-- which was a balcony room across the back and we heard NOTHING>

I've seen some pictures of what seems to be a rather small stalls that would barely fit a normal size person. This is our first cruise on RCL. We've previously sailed on Disney, Holland America and Celebrity. Are we in for a shock? Let's hope the activities on board make up for the lack of cabin space. My sister and her husband will in a JS cabin on the same floor (9554). Looks like their cabin has a tub -- wonder if we should have gone with the JS suite?

LOL i seen people describe the shower as soap the walls and turn around to get clean. (having never sailed the cruiselines you have -i cant compare.)

We are "fluffy" people and not had a problem with a shower.

 

If you find it is not suitable--showers in the gym are by far more luxurious-- meaning a big difference. Head there for showers. Its free too

I have had a JS before and the D1, the JS have a tub/shower and the bathroom is much larger. The "other" bathrooms have the circular shower and it can be tight but we make do. Just be careful and do not drop the soap! Shaving legs is an art! The JS is a really nice room, but adds $$$. Depends on what you are after. I would however, take a D1 over an E cabin.

In March we were on the Independence (same layout) in 8674 which is a D1 and the same size as the D2. On RCI we always have a balcony and this one was one of the nicer ones. I laid out on the balcony on a towel more than once and two people could lay out easily. I am sure you are going to have a GREAT time and will LOVE your balcony. It's great to get some sun, have quiet time, watch the water or the sites, relax with a cocktail or morning coffee. I am missing it just thinking about what an excellent time we had on that cruise.

 

Ya know I think it might be big enough that you could squeeze me in there...PLEASE!!!!!! ;)

I have posted a question on a separate thread but got no replies, so am posting it here, not sure if this is the right place.

We are booked on Rhapsody of the Seas in interior cabins 4541 and 4543, just wondering if anyone can advise me if this is a good location, is there any noise from the casino above, the stairwell nearby or any other comments. Its a larger interior, and I understand that the smaller interiors on decks 2 and 3 are tiny.

 

Any info greatly appreciated, thanks!
