cashier without paying a fee? On RCL you can get cash from the casino cashier and it goes on your ship account. We would like to limit the amount of cash we take with us, but don't want to pay atm fees if we run short. Thanks for the advice.

NCL doesn't charge a fee. You might be thinking about Princess, which does charge a 3% fee.

NO FEE, thats great to hear John. yes, princes definitely has a 3% fee. ( and they made a lot of money off of me that way) :-) for some reason i thought i was charged the same last time i was on pride of america, but i could very well be wrong, and too many bills for me to look at to verify.

Does the Pride of America have a casino? I don't think so. I know that whe the Sky became the Pride of Aloha it's caino became something different.

I always thought that $$$ from the casino had to be in tokens or chips? Maybe it has changed? All I know is that when Hubby locked the safe with his card I had to become creative! :D

None of the American flagged ships have casinos. Gambling is not allowed in Hawaiian waters. The Disney ships have no casinos also

In past experience, I have frequently gone to the cashier in the casino to receive cash. They normally ask if you play tables or slots but, since I can never decide I just get cash.

There is a daily limit of (I believe) $2000.

Just back from the Dream and did see the cashier in the casino for cash. Just signed it to my onboard account. There was no fee for this. Whereas if you used the ATM the fee was $5.95 plus whatever your own bank charges. Nice bonus was I am able to get points for this from my credit card company.

Thank You for this information. $5.95 is a lot to pay to get money from the cash machine. It is nice to know you can get casino money from the cashier.

We are traveling on the Sun 4/15/07 from New Orleans to Vancouver, Canada and this is one of the questions we had.

At this time (of course anything can change) only Princess and HAL charge for getting cash from the casino. Yes, they will ask you whether it is for the table or slots? Of course you will say slots and get cash. What you do with the cash is up to you. We almost always get extra from the casino the last night of the cruise. We don't have to carry as much cash with us, we can pay the CC charges when we get home, save the ATM cost and have enough cash for our trip back. Now, I have to admit I get cash for the slots as well. LOL

Yes you can and it goes to your on board ship charges, sorry I can't remember if there was a charge but, I don't think so.

On the NCL ships that we were on youwere able to take out $2,000 per day per person charged to yourshipboard account, no charge provided you had the available credit on the Credit card used to secure your shipboard credit account.

Tha ATM in the casino had a sttep fee.

I believe that you can cash one check a day at the pursers desk, not sure of the limit.

We even take cash from the casino for our shore expenses and get points on our NCL credit card.

So, if we can still get $$$ from Casino without fees and I use my NCL credit card, I can tell my husband that I am on a mission (to get more points) and save my backup (Traveler's checks) for when I run out of money at the Casinos back home? :p When I have checks left over I label them for "entertainment" since I purchased them as vacation funds. :D
