Guarantee question

I doubt very much it would change unless they gave you a cabin that they need for multiple people or something.

That's your cabin, it is subject to change until you embark, but haven't read very much that it does, normally once assigned, that's it. I know assignments can change, but rarely do based on what I've read here. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

That's it my friend. When you book a "Guarantee", all you are selecting is the type of cabin: Interior, Window, Balcony or Suite. Later, Carnival will review all bookings and assign a cabin number to you. It might be a major upgrade and then again, it might be the lowest cabin in that class.

You can get a definite cabin with number and all but be prepared to part with some bucks. I just booked a "Guarantee" on the Miracle but for $140 more (for 2 of us), I could have had a cabin assigned to me with number and all. Note that when you do this, you just about kill any chances of a further upgrade.

So those are the rules we have to live by.
