Dawn Princess, specialty restaurants

Hi!

I'll be sailing on the Dawn soon...No, no specialty restaurant aboard BUT they have a pizzeria that offers a bigger menu than the pizzerias on the Grand Class (like lasagne and spaghetti) and they have a Patisserie.

Yes they have PC on the Dawn. We sailed her earlier this year.

There is a Sterling Steakhouse

They have PC dining and the sterling steakhouse, which is an additional $15 (I think)

We just got off the Dawn--and the previous poster was correct about the price of the Sterling Steakhouse--$15 per person. We did not go--the food in the main dining room was fine for us, but some frineds of ours went. They enjoyed it very much.

There is a sit down pizzeria which is free. At lunch, pretty much pizza made to order (plus bread but I didn't try it). At night, there are calzones and lasagna in addition to the pizza. It is very good!

 

There is also Sterling Steakhouse which is now $15. I ate there on the Sun Princess and it was very good.

 

Plus, traditional and PC dining.

The Sterling Steakhouse isn't on the deck plans for the simple reason that during the daytime it doesn't exist! LOL :) In the evening they set up tables outside, above the pool deck and by the bar (can't remember the name of it now). You dine outside, with candlelight. We did it on our anniversary a couple of years ago and it was great! The steaks were excellent, the service was great, and the creme brulee was awesome! It was worth the extra $$ just to dine outside under the stars!

I have seen Sterling Steakhouse setup outside in front of the hamburger grill at night (overlooking the pool) and it was beautiful. They did this in Mexico and it was wonderful.

 

In Alaska - they setup Sterling Steakhouse on one side of the Horizon Court. They put table clothes down and make the area look much different then it does during the day when it is a buffet.
