KeyOfSea Posted July 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2007 Does anyone know what the wattage of the provided hair dryer is? Also, is there a limit that I can use on board if I bring my own? Thanks!

Twice_a_year Posted July 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Before we left we purchased all the convervision kits for European electricity for US appliances. - We did not need them!
debbie p Posted July 5, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2007 Viking supplies their own hair dryer-which was fine-and I'm fussy about my blow dryer! There is an outlet at the 'desk' and mirror area that is 'american'. I had set up 'camp' (all my make up and hair stuff there and let my husband have the bathroom-worked out great. I also took a travel iron I bought at Brookstone that was probably one of my best take alongs and purchases I've had in a long time! The closet is small-really small-but lots of drawer space. I had brought along extra hangers but ended up just keeping my clothes folded in the drawers and ironed what I needed.
spencermi Posted July 7, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2007 Most Cruise lines do not allow irons in the cabin. They are concerned with setting the ship on fire.
debbie p Posted July 8, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 8, 2007 Most Cruise lines do not allow irons in the cabin. They are concerned with setting the ship on fire. ************************************* Lots and lots of folks had them on board. I kept mine out, housekeeping saw it each and everyday and not a thing was said.
