Horizon & Zenith pictures taken during our 6/18 Millennium Cruise in the Med

We sailed aboard Millennium on a terrific 12 night cruise from Venice to Barcelona. During the trip we saw a couple of old Celebrity favorites--Zenith and Horizon. We saw Zenith at Venice and she followed us to Dubrovnik. Horizon was spotted at Civitavecchia (Rome) and she followed us to Nice, France. On our 1st at sea day on the way to Santorini, Zenith was sailing along side of us for most of the morning--right off the rail of our aft FV balcony.

As many of you know, Horizon, is now part of Island Cruises sailing as the Island Star. During this summer she is doing a variety of 7 night round trip cruises out of Palma, Majorca. Zenith has just been transferred to Pullmantur Cruises but has retained her ship name. She shuttles back and forth between Athens and Barcelona doing 7 night cruises.

We were fortunate enough to have sailed Horizon but we never got to Zenith before she left. While it was sad to see these two ships leave Celebrity, it was very gratifying to know that they both are visiting some very nice places in the Med for their new cruise lines!

Attached are two of the photos. The full set of 7 photos are at: http://www.cruisemates.com/gallery/view.php?id=3527

Great Pictures, brings back lots of memories but at least they had a better fate at this point than Meridian. thank you....

The Meridian was our first cruise, and will always hold a special spot for us. To this day it is our favorite. We were so sad to hear of it's fate.

Thanks for the photos. Good to see them again. We sailed 'Z' 5 times, including her final voyage. Nice little ship.

Meridian was our first cruise also in 1996 & she got us hooked on cruising so she is our sentimental favorite.
