"LIVE" from the Grandeur *Sept 2007*

Thanks Radio, your input helps us all.

Two questions that seem to be directly opposite. 1. Is there a free soft ice cream machine anywhere on GOS? 2. Can you smoke cigars anywhere?

Thanks for your help, we will be on the 13 night repo in November. Have a great time on your cruise.

There is free frozen yogurt every day on the pool deck. . . The library turns into a cigar bar daily at 9PM...

QUESTION:

Can you tell me if they have Texas Hold'em in the casino? I heard that they have a tournament on most ships and that some have a cash game limit table. Also, when do you sign up for the tournament? Is it a limited number of seats and first come first served... or do they just take all who want to play?

Any info on poker on the Grandeur would be greatly appreciated!

Jenny

Hope you have beautiful weather for the rest of the cruise!

No Texas Holdem on this ship. . . I have seen it though on Jewel and Explorer.

They will let anyone play the Slots or BJ tournement. . . The more that play. . .the higher the revenue:)

or if any of you other fellow RC people have some pix....7652 specifically but any aft JS pix ould help!

Hi Meg, I'll be in 7652 starting 10/5, so if you don't have pics by then, I'll get you some.

FYI, The Champagne and Canapes were offered to all embarking Platinum and Diamond cruisers for the very first time yesterday. No dedicated lounge, but finally a lagniape.

Glad to hear about the goodies, Howard. Looking forward to seeing you in 16 days, but who's counting??? LOL.

Hello - I have a question. Has the Grandeur added a Concierge Lounge, and if not, have you heard anything on if they will be adding one.

I don't think there's a concierge lounge, and I haven't heard anything about them adding one.

Radio thanks for all the updates and pictures. I know traveling the Atlantic can sometimes be rough. It was the only time I ever got sick on a cruise and it only lasted a few hours - thanks to Dramamine. Keep the pics coming.

My Mom and Dad will also be on board. They are doing a B2B that started 10 days ago (Canada / NE )

Hi Radio -

I guess we just spent 9 wonderful days with your parents - and didn't even know it.

The New England/Canada cruise was very enjoyable. Hope your parents enjoyed it as much as we did.

Your photos are great, as always.

Keep posting.:)

Hello everyone and welcome to Bermuda ! I can’t say enough about how beautiful Bermuda is. Around every turn. . . over every hill; you just can’t believe how beautiful this Country is.

Today was warm (82f), sunny, and rain free ! We started off by renting a scooter from Oleanders in the Dockyard. We then went to St George Island on the 1230 Ferry from Kings Wharf. I was able to locate Fort St. Catherine’s Beach, and Tobacco bay Beach.

We then went to Crystal Caves, which I highly recommend. I wish I was able to stay to visit Fantasy Caves as well, but we needed to get over to Horseshoe Bay Beach.

We loved Horseshoe Bay Beach. . . The sand is like flour! It was a little crowded today, but the water was warm, and the water was very beautiful ! We drove all the way back to the Dockyard by about 5PM, had to get a shower before we ate up at the Windjammer.

I will not post much now, because we have to go to the Destination Dockyard, out in front of the ship. Here are a few pics from today! I will try to get a few more up later.

Thanks for tuning in . . . .

the New England cruise in June on the Grandeur had a limit texas-hold-em table every night. Maybe, for your cruise they changed it or din't have enough players.

Thanks for your wonderful reports and pics Radio! This is so exciting, as we are sailing on the Grandeur to Bermuda in TWO WEEKS!! We are first time RCCL cruisers! We have previously sailed Princess (and love it) but have heard wonderful things about RCCL and live in Maryland! So this cruise was for us!

Thanks!

Jenny

Hope you have beautiful weather for the rest of the cruise!

I was on the the Grandeur 8/19/07 and played Texas Hold'em every night. There was a limit game with a $100.00 buy in every night the casino was open and in addition on the last night there was a tournament. They had plenty of seats available for the tournament but only three tables filled up on our cruise.
