Drew B Posted November 2, 2007 #26 Share Posted November 2, 2007 DC: Since we travel with a service dog....we MUST let her out before going to bed, while onboard! :p I've never seen a service dog on a ship, but I go through such doggie withdrawal on a cruise, I would have a very hard time restraining myself from asking if I could pet it, etc. Do you find yourself mobbed by people like me wanting to visit with your dog? wizard-of-roz Posted November 2, 2007 #27 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Absolutely, we're mobbed by the most gracious, lovely, adults and children....who are amazed at seeing her in a restaurant, movie theatre, hotel, market, shopping mall and a cruise ship. She'll be taking her 7th cruise on November 24, 2007 and then again on January 19th and April 12th and October 22, 2008. (She's been on most every major cruise line!) She's a wonderful traveler and really enjoys the sights/smells and sounds of a cruise ship (she's been known to sit up and stare at the entertainers on the stage).....not to mention all the added love and attention from the crew and passengers. If you ever see us.....please come up for a "pat", she and I both love meeting new friends! Of course, you may have to fight with her boyfriend; my DH....she and he are true "buddies!" Drew B Posted November 2, 2007 #28 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Thank you for the invitation. I always feel guilty approaching service animals, as I realize they are working and are not there as companion animals. Sometimes I can't help myself, though! wizard-of-roz Posted November 2, 2007 #29 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Drew: Your "caution" is right on! It's always good to ask before the "pat!" If she's working, she's working..and, I'll say...."not now, maybe in a bit, please come back!" I hope we'll get to cruise with you and yours in the future.....:)

A drink before dinner.....if it is warm outside, a mudslide by the pool,:) wine with dinner.....an after dinner drink in Cova...yes, adult libations are part of my cruise, while here at home I rarely partake. I also love to get dressed up for dinner and never do that at home. (Not trying to star a dress code debate) just talking about things I personally do on a cruise that I don't do here at home. usha Posted November 2, 2007 #31 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Me too.....me too:D :D ....I drink more in the week I am on board the ship than I do in 6 months at home:eek: Me three, me THREEEE!:o :o :o I also wear high heels and dresses a LOT more on a cruise than I ever do at home, but the drinking thing makes the high heel thing especially tricky. FinelyCruising Posted November 2, 2007 #32 Share Posted November 2, 2007 I agree with the dress/heels thing...definately! Drinking is about the same...I still pretty much wait until the late afternoon. Wave-making....well...we are on vacation. :D
