Paradise weather in early February?

We are planning a quick cruise on the Paradise in Feb 08. Any guesses on what kind of weather to expect? Temps and sea state?

Thanks for the help.

You can find average conditions for Ensenada here:

http://www.weatherreports.com/Mexico/Ensenada/averages.html

As for the sea state, your guess is as good as mine. The wave height is largely dependent upon fetch, wind traveling a distance over water. No wind, small waves. Trying to predict wave heights is iffy at best and trying to predict wave heights three to four months out is tougher than winning the lottery!!!

Thanks - the Ensanada site is what I needed.

I didn't mean to ask for a really precise forcast, but I have been told that the Pacific is rough at times. My two previous cruses in the area have been in Sept, and both were fine. Are conditions generally similar, or do winter storms cause more disruptions than summer hurricanes?

I did this cruise in October and May, and I was surprised that it was cold and it rained both times. February is the coldest, wettest month of the year in Los Angeles, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if you also experience this weather. The October sailing was a bit rougher, but I don't know if that was random or typical.

We were on the Paradise January 26-29 of this year. Temps in Ensenada were around 70; I brought a light sweater but did not need it. Daytime temps on board were pleasant; low 70's, breezy and sunny. Evenings were quite chilly (low 50's) and one night we had cold, gusty wind. Seas for the most part were very mild. I wouldn't hesitate to travel again during the same timeframe. Hope this helps!

LA will be a bit cold but just 60s and 70s The Weather Leaving the states will be cold as well but once you get to your ports the weather will be nice 70s and 80s

should not have any problems with rough seas but it is of course way to early to tell...normally no Hurricane type storms roll through that time of year..

Like others said....no telling what the weather will be like. I have done that itinerary in Dec, May and August. The sea day on the way back in August was just as cold as Dec. It is usually windy on the way back so that will cool the temps down.

Good Luck!!!

Ensenada is only an hour south of San Diego (driving time), so it has about the same temperature and weather as we do. As was stated earlier, February is our rainy month and typically the coldest month...I wouldn't expect to spend a lot of time at the pool working on a tan. But on these short cruises, I usually spend more time working on my casino tan. :)
