jmaze Posted November 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2007 We just got back from the Legend and we had a balcony cabin. Loved it. Loved being able to lean over the balcony (but not to far over) and look at where we were going and where we came from while enjoying the breeze. We want to book another ship but it seems like most don't have balconys. Can anyone recommend another ship with or without balconys that would still allow us to get the sunlight and some view?? I don't care what cruise line it is.:D Thanks for your opinions.
Wennfred Posted November 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2007 Check out the Valor, she has some of the top reviews for the bigger Carnival Funships, I know, I got to cruise on her March of 06, one of the best cruises ever because of the ship and the 4 ports she went too. You want to avoid the Fantasy class ships cuz the only balconies available on them are Cat 11+12 suites $$$$$ and there's very few of those. The Fantasy-class get the 3,4+5 day cruises since they're older. Also since you just got off Legend, I'd avoid that class (Legend/Spirit/Miracle/Pride) and try something different. Cruiser from MS Posted November 28, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 28, 2007 The Liberty is a beautiful ship. She is one of the newer and larger ships. We had a balcony on the Empress Deck and loved it.
GaNavy Posted November 28, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2007 You didn't say if you had an extended balcony on the Legend - if you did, then you've already taken what would have been my first suggestion. I loved the Legend, would sail her or another Spirit ship any time. If you want to try another cruise line, try the Grand-class Princess ships (Grand, Golden, up through Crown, Emerald, etc.) - the balconies on Caribe deck (or whichever deck is directly above the deck with all the mini-suites) are bigger than any of the other standards and have a partial overhang for more privacy than on other decks. Have fun!

I really like the Miracle.
jmaze Posted November 28, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted November 28, 2007 Thanks for the great suggestions. And thanks Wennfred for the info on the chocolate buffet (yum) and also on the kids carnival on the Valor. GaNavy - we had a regular balcony on 4 Aft. What was your suggestion? Does an extended balcony make that much difference? I will look at all of these ships and see if I can find one to book. If anyone else has some suggestions, I'm open to your suggestions. If you've been on it, you know a whole lot more about it that I do.:D Thanks for all your input
