We just returned from escaping to Biloxi. Sunday morning we looked at the weather channel and rejoiced that Punta Gorda was out of the cone; however, Biloxi was now in it. So we cut our mini-vacation (evacuation) short and came back to Florida.

 

Now there's another name I have to worry about???

No Mary!! Not to worry. It is going to the Bahamas and maybe bermuda. Possibly the east coast!! It isn't supposed to be a big one, but this year who knows!!! :eek:

Anything that goes to the Bahamas, is a potential threat to the East coast of florida. I read the discussion on Tropical Storm Jeanne and two models are going north, three models are going west - 120 hours from now. The recon is in and Jeanne is close to Hurricane strength. Might not come to Florida, but don't let your guard down anyway. This season is too wierd!

And now there are hurricane warnings for Jeanne, but they're talking about the Ivan storm surge. Okay, no, it's a hurricane watch for Puerto Rico I think. They were a little vague --- talked about Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

 

Jeanne's expected to gain hurricane status in time.

Clearly, Floridians are being sent a "subtle" message that giving it's e-votes to a guy that doesn't believe global warming even exists or effects climate ... is not appreciated by Mother Nature!
