Is Jeanne brewing out there?????

I've heard that a new storm is brewing in the Atlantic. I can't see anything that looks like it's forming on the radar. Has anyone else heard about this????

It is a tropical depression or wave!! It isn't doing much right now, but could intensify!! This post could be moved, but if it is, just go up to the Ivan post, and we can talk about it there. Especially if it intensifies!!! :eek:

Right now it is just a surface low (wave) just east of the northern Antilles......that would be St maartan down to say martinique.......

 

It will bring showers over the next few days including the Virgin islands, Puerto Rico. There is alot of upper level wind sheer which should keep it from amounting to no more then a minimun tropical storm IF that much.

The NHCNOAA page lists a note indicating it is a tropical wave as Sue indicated, but... that it was looking like it was getting more organized and could be called a tropical depression with a # associated within 24 hours. That was a 9am note today. I'd expect an update tomorrow morning. Hopefully it will be that it has disappeared.

Looking at all these storms lining up one after the other creating havoc for everyone in the caribbean and south eastern states, I guess I shouldn't complain that we got our first frost here this morning. Thoughts and prayers for everyone in harms way!
