Vines Wine Bar on Emerald/Crown

I know Vines is the wine bar, so obviously there is a charge for wine. However, I also understand they have sushi and other hors d'oeuvres. Is there a charge for all of them? Some of them? (DW is especially interested in sushi--one of the very few things Carnival offers that she misses on Princess.)

We were just off the Crown this past weekend and had sushi in the cafe caribe one afternoon. I found it to be quite mediocre, in fact, I prefer the sushi I can purchase in the grocery store. JMHO.

On the Crown there was an Oriental Buffet in Cafe Caribe one evening with a variety of sushi. No extra charge there.

ITA. We took one look and turned around. We didn't try the freshly made sushi at Vines, but the buffet mass produced version just didn't look appetizing at all.

Thanks everyone. You confirmed what I suspected about the sushi. Do they serve any other appetizers/finger foods in Vines? Is there a charge for them as well. (Just curious--wouldn't let a couple of dollars prevent us from having something that appealed to us.)

Also, some research I did seemed to indicate there were charges in the International Cafe as well. Other posts led me to believe it is simply a smaller version of Horizon Court. Can anyone enlighten me?

As Kikiwik mentioned, there is a (very) small charge for the sushi. We were quite impressed with Vines and thoroughly enjoyed our selections of wine and sushi. You'll recieve an assorted cheese plate with your wine. Very delicious!!!

International cafe has great sandwhiches, appetizers etc. If I remember correctly, there is a small charge here as well.

Enjoy!

We were on the Emerald in December.

Sushi at Vines was 3$ for 3 pieces (minimum) and 1$ for each additional pieces. It is made to order.

International Café offers pastries, cakes and sandwiches that are free. They also have Gelato (1.50) and tapas at dinner time. They have a variety and it is also 3$ for 3 pieces (minimum) and 1$ for each additional pieces. They have various antipasto (olives, artichokes, etc.) that are free. You can also order a Chocolate Fondue, served with fruits, profiteroles and marshmallows for 5$.
