erhoffer Posted March 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2008 Is there a way to find out who is the naturalist on a Millenium cruise in Alaska in late June? Or to learn what the entertainment options will be? I could only find very general info on the Celebrity website. It would be nice to know more... thanks! - Erin
Rare patrice1 Posted March 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2008 Isn't a naturalist what we used to call a nudist?
cusyl Posted March 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2008    That should be easy to sort out. It would be the ones with no luggage and no clothes! :D
erhoffer Posted March 21, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted March 21, 2008 So what you are saying is, the naturalist IS the entertainment??? - Erin
Inshape Posted March 23, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2008 You can find a great one at camofwilliamsburg.com He is wonderful and does a lot with natural remedies. Why wait until your cruise? Contact him through the site, and he does not sell products.
vicgiz Posted March 23, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2008 :D Such funny responses! I think the OP was asking about the guest speaker on board who discusses the wildlife and habitats that you could see on a cruise. THAT kind of naturalist! I don't have an answer, though! Inshape Posted March 24, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 24, 2008 Oh and I thought natural medicine.... but that person sure does do a great job as an alternative medical practioner.... We could all use that now a days!

Drew B Posted March 24, 2008 #9 Share Posted March 24, 2008 I hope you have one. On the Mercury cruise I took last year, there were other enrichment lectures, but not any by a naturalist...

We were on the Mercury to Alaska in 2006 with Brent Nixon as naturalist and he was one of the best lecturers I have ever heard on any subject - knowledgeable, animated, friendly, entertaining - I'd take the cruise again just to hear him! chasetf Posted March 25, 2008 #11 Share Posted March 25, 2008 Isn't a naturalist what we used to call a nudist? Uh..... That would be a "Naturist" Big difference, especially for all those Naturalists. :D

Yes, it was. It was disappointing, as the naturalist lectures on a previous Alaskan cruise were a high point. Brent Nixon had left the ship a few months earlier, and they didn't replace him with another naturalist...
librarycin Posted March 26, 2008 #13 Share Posted March 26, 2008 I was on Infinity to Alaska last June and we had a naturalist - Milos...I don't remember his last name, but I thought he was really good, and I went to all his lectures. :) Sorry I can't help the OP with an answer, though... Sprucetree Posted March 26, 2008 #14 Share Posted March 26, 2008 Brent Nixon was excellent. Sorry to hear he's no longer giving lectures. He not only spoke of the animals, but imitated their actions - including sliding down the stairs like a seal (or was it a walrus?)
MKMC Posted March 26, 2008 #15 Share Posted March 26, 2008 Brent Nixon was the naturalist on our ultimate Alaska Infinty cruise last September. He had come over from the Mercury as had Jeff, the cruise director. Both were fabulous! Brent was so popular ,I'm sure Celebrity will book him again.
