Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted April 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Formal night is most often the second night of the cruise. Or, failing that, it will be the night of the first day spent sailing at sea. How you can find out exactly before the cruise, I do not know. The answer to this, and many or all of your other questions, *must* be on this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=574483
Sugar*Magnolia Posted April 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2008 On all our cruises it has been the first full day at sea....the Captains Welcome. I dont know it to be different from anyone else either..... Has anyone ever been on a cruise where it wasnt the first full day at sea? Isn't it exciting! I found out about the two-night right here at CC. We will be sailing with my son and his girlfriend. They are really excited too. They both work at places that don't give them much time for vacations, so this short cruise was ideal, and they have months to apply for the time off. WideOpenOcean Posted April 3, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 3, 2008 We were on the Enchantment for the five night Western itinerary in January. Formal night was on the day at sea. Sharon
oh2gocruisin Posted April 3, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted April 3, 2008 Thanks for the responses. Marion Mom, thanks for the link to the thread. I had previously tried (a couple of times) to search it but, we all know how that goes. Anyway, based on the responses here I'm thinking formal night will probably be the second night because we have a short day in Key West. Our sea day is the last night of the cruise. The main reason I was a trying to find out is b/c we'll be celebrating our anniversary on this trip and wanted to plan around that.
