lulutoo Posted May 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2008 Do any Alaska cruises offer a trout fishing excursion ( or could one be planned as an independent activity) possibly during August? I have heard September tends to be cold and wet.(True?) We would love to try a cruise but the fishing is something my partner really wants to do- so we may have to look at a land based trip instead. We are also wondering if a cruise/tour with a rail component would be more likely to offer this activity. Anyone done it?
mytime53 Posted May 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2008 If you have time for a cruisetour, then you could do a cruise and at the end an independent tour to include trout fishing. In August, you could add silver salmon fishing also. My husband was a fishing guide for a couple of years, and August was a great time. Here in the Valley, you can get Silver salmon, pink salmon, and rainbow trout all in the same trip in August.
